Center Your Well-Being:
A Trauma-Informed, Culturally Sensitive Approach to Psychotherapy
Are you feeling depressed, overwhelmed, or not present in your daily life?
Are you finding yourself having unwanted thoughts, memories, or repeated nightmares about past traumatic experiences? Are you a person of color and finding yourself feeling isolated or frustrated due to misunderstandings regarding multiple identities, such as racial/ethnic, sexual, and gender? With so many responsibilities and commitments, it can be challenging to make time for ourselves to reflect and think about our life choices. At times, we may overlook our mental wellbeing and how various difficulties are affecting us. My approach to psychotherapy is to create a safe space in which you can have time to heal and learn about yourself. |
Depression
Are you feeling down or noticing persistent feelings of loneliness and emptiness? Having trouble concentrating or making decisions? Not wanting to be around people or not wanting to engage in things that you normally enjoy?

Trauma
Despite a traumatic event having occurred in the past, it can still feel very much present in your daily life. You might find yourself having unwanted thoughts or memories and reoccurring vivid images, such as flashbacks and nightmares, about details of past trauma.

LGBTQIA People of ColorIn an ideal world, everyone’s right to live a free and authentic life would be respected and protected. Unfortunately, LGBTQIA, people of color, live in societies in which certain cultural identities are more privileged than our own diverse identities.
